About the role: We are looking for a Billing & Record Request Specialist who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling medical billing, lien management, and records requests in a personal injury setting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, timely record collection, and proper documentation throughout the lifecycle of a case. Previous experience in billing and medical record requests for personal injury cases is preferred. US law firm experience is required. What you’ll be doing: Requesting medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers, insurance companies, and third-party vendors. Following up on outstanding medical records, bills, liens, and related documentation. Reviewing medical bills and records for accuracy, completeness, and relevance to the case. Uploading, organizing, and tracking records and billing documents in the firm’s case management system. Coordinating with attorneys, case managers, and external providers to resolve billing or documentation issues. Maintaining accurate logs for record requests, billing status, and follow-ups. Handling sensitive client and medical information with confidentiality and professionalism. Supporting attorneys with case-related documentation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Who are we looking for? 2+ years of experience in billing, medical record requests, or a similar role within a personal injury law firm. Strong understanding of medical billing, liens, and records management in personal injury cases. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong follow-up and communication skills. Proficiency with case management systems and digital document handling. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Experience working in a U.S. law firm is required. Prior experience handling medical records and billing for personal injury cases is preferred.
