The Opportunity & School Profile This prestigious independent school, set across a significant historic estate, seeks a strategic Facilities Manager. The school requires an expert capable of managing a complex portfolio of buildings, driving maintenance efficiency, and ensuring rigorous statutory compliance. The role demands high-level strategic thinking and robust contract management skills. Core Responsibilities & Scope Strategic Visionary: Developing and implementing long-term Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategies and overseeing major capital projects. Compliance Crusader: Full accountability for all statutory and regulatory compliance (H&S, Fire, Water), negotiating and monitoring external service contracts. Team Leader: Leadership, training, and development of the in-house premises and grounds staff teams. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Extensive managerial experience in facilities management (IWFM desirable) within a large institutional environment.
