Founding Tech Lead (Future CTO) Company: NumeriQu Location: Open / Remote (preferred overlap with US time zones) About NumeriQu NumeriQu is a profitability intelligence platform built from real operating experience. We help founders and leaders turn financial data into clear, actionable insights . We are early, focused, and building with intent. The Opportunity We are looking for a Founding Tech Lead who will own the technical backbone of NumeriQu. This is not a “follow-the-requirements” role. You will work directly with the founders to: Translate business problems into technical solutions Design and build a scalable backend architecture Make early decisions that shape the future of the product This role is expected to grow into a CTO role as the company scales. What You’ll Work On Designing and building the core backend architecture Integrating with multiple data sources (financial, operational, APIs) Designing databases and data models for analytics and reporting Building reliable data pipelines Exploring and integrating AI/ML capabilities where they add real value Making pragmatic decisions around scalability, performance, and security Who This Role Is For You don’t need 15 years of experience. You do need: Strong problem-solving ability and system thinking The ability to understand business needs and turn them into clean technical designs Comfort making decisions with imperfect information A builder mindset — ownership, curiosity, and accountability The ambition to grow into a CTO-level role If you enjoy figuring things out more than being told exactly what to build, this role is for you. Technical Expectations (Keep It Practical) Experience building backend systems (any modern stack) Understanding of APIs, databases, and integrations Comfort working with data (ETL, analytics, reporting) Incorporate data security into everyday life since we deal with financial data Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) Interest in AI/ML (hands-on experience is a plus, not mandatory) Compensation & Upside Below-market salary (by design, at this stage) Meaningful equity / long-term upside Direct influence on product, architecture, and company direction Clear path to CTO role as NumeriQu grows We are looking for someone who values ownership and long-term impact over short-term compensation.
