Controller

About the Role: The Controller is a hands-on finance leader responsible for owning and executing all accounting and financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires active involvement in day-to-day accounting while overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance in a production-focused operation. Responsibilities: Own and manage the full accounting and finance function for a manufacturing operation. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses. Partner closely with operations to support cost control, margin analysis, and production-related financial decisions. Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements. Drive continuous improvement across accounting systems, reporting, and financial processes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Five or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment . Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end accounting and financial operations. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proven ability to operate hands-on while providing financial leadership. Desired Qualifications: CPA or CMA certification. Strong background in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis. Experience supporting plant operations or production leadership. Exposure to continuous improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
