SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Surgical Technician CST Full-Time Surgical Technician candidates will have the following minimum job responsibilities: You will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department in the scrub role. You will be experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases as needed; and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. You may come in contact with medications and therefore must demonstrate an understanding of proper medication management and storage as well as maintaining a secure medication environment. You will act as a preceptor, resource, and mentor for new staff members, surgical technician students, and existing staff. Types of Services: Neuro, Ortho, CV, Vascular, Plastics, Robotics, General, Spine, Bariatrics, Hybrid OR, GYN, Urology JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Surgical Technician CST Full-Time Surgical Technician candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications: Accredited Program Preferred: Surgical Technology or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist 1 year Preferred: Experience as a surgical technologist in a full-service operating room Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist Compensation: $28.46 - $53.40/hour
