Project Self-Sufficiency is seeking diligent and experienced Security Guards to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in law enforcement who are committed to maintaining safety and security in a supportive and community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and secure the premises to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and participants.
· Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter and detect suspicious activities.
· Provide a visible presence to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
· Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, or incidents, maintaining a calm and authoritative demeanor.
· Document and report all security-related incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
· Collaborate closely with the organization’s team to address and mitigate potential security risks.
· Handle any situations requiring conflict resolution with discretion and respect.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or a related field is strongly preferred.
· Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to remain composed and act decisively under pressure.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proficiency in creating clear and concise incident reports.
· Working knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
· Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform other duties as required during shifts.
Hours and Schedule:
· Part-time position with varied hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Part-time. Salary for this position is $18 - $20/hour, commensurate with previous experience, references, and other factors.
