Responsibilities

As an Aerial Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.  

In addition, you will: 

• Install and/or repair aerial CATV, coaxial and fiber cable 
• Place, relocate and remove poles, lines, open-wire, drop and block wire in order to maintain efficient operation of the customers’ facilities 
• Review project plans, specifications installation instructions to ensure the project is built according to the approved design specifications 
• Set up a safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers 
• Direct the activities on the job site 
• Properly fill out necessary documentation, record time for the crew, etc. 
• Communicate with the Area Supervisor or Manager 
• Act as the lead for in-house crews 
• Oversee daily schedules, delivery schedules, and daily productivity of the Aerial crew 
• Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Train and mentor new team members.
• Track time and job completion progress.
• Keep the job site organized and ensure proper restoration at project completion.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Qualifications

About You:

• You are comfortable working outdoors and in varied conditions.
• You're experienced in telecom construction projects.
• You have 3+ years' experience in aerial telecom construction.
• You have knowledge of coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, aerial and underground construction, etc. 
• You are are able to operate a digger derrick, bucket truck, and are comfortable climbing poles. 
• You have a strong knowledge of CATV building practices and CTV/Aerial field equipment. 
• You hold the necessary certifications such as: OSHA 10, CPR, and Flagging certification  
• You can lift up to 70 lbs. and work at heights of up to 35 feet.
• You are able to read and understand work orders and CTV cable prints. 
• You are able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation: Production average $75,000 - $100,000/yr
