Responsibilities

As a Fiber Splicer, you are responsible to produce end-to-end fiber optic networks. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.  

Comcast/Genesis experience +

Must know how to troubleshoot Fiber.

Ability to train and lead other Fiber Splicers

Starting Pay $25-40 per hour DOE. 

In addition, you will: 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with fiber splicing, testing, and fiber construction.
• Extensive knowledge with CWDM, DWDM, and PON networks. Experience with Comcast network is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber optic counts, fiber assignments, and splicing schematics.
• Knowledge of fiber equipment i.e. fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter.
• Must have a strong understanding of design and construction of MDU and Outside Plant (UG and Aerial).
• Highly organized, self-starter, and detail oriented.
• Must be available to work weekends and overnight when needed.

• You have at least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience  
• You are comfortable working on ladder or bucket truck  
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands on approach to your work 

• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality 
• You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime  

MOS Codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 relate well to this position.
