Independent Prescriber Pharmacist – Remote Consultations

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Independent Prescriber Pharmacists to join our digital healthcare service. This role involves conducting secure remote video consultations with patients and providing end-to-end prescribing services, including issuing prescriptions, referral letters, and fit notes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly from home while making a real difference to patient access and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safe and effective online video consultations.

• Prescribe in line with the agreed formulary and national guidelines.

• Issue prescriptions, referral letters, and fit notes.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with governance standards.

• Deliver patient-centred care while maintaining professional standards.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

• Annotated as an Independent Prescriber on the GPhC register.

• Evidence of prior remote consultation experience.

• Competence in prescribing across a broad range of conditions.

• Access to secure IT equipment and ability to work via video consultation.

• Valid professional indemnity insurance.

• Up-to-date DBS and safeguarding training.

Working Hours

• Service available Monday–Sunday, 8am–8pm.

• Flexible rota system.

• Guaranteed minimum of 15 consultations per day initially.
