Sand Plant Operator I

Position Overview

Join our team as a Sand Plant Operator I, where you'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth, safe operations in our innovative facility. Under guidance, you'll play a key role in maximizing production efficiency and quality while aligning with the company’s forward-thinking goals and vision.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety by utilizing proper personal protective equipment.

  • Execute tasks efficiently under supervision while adhering to instructions.

  • Engage in essential plant maintenance including cleaning and upkeep tasks such as clearing high accumulation areas, monitoring belt alignments, participating in routine screen changes, and handling additional duties as directed by supervisors.

  • Learn to operate plant control systems and manage railcar loading processes.

  • Participate actively in the Quality Assurance initiative by mastering testing procedures outlined by QA protocols.

  • Report any operational anomalies or issues to shift leaders or plant management promptly.

  • Support rail load operations when necessary, which includes inspecting railcars and maintaining silo cleanliness.

  • Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment for optimal functionality.

  • Manage daily scale activities including recording weights, generating tickets, and maintaining logs accurately.

  • Contribute to our maintenance program through regular checks on machinery condition as tasked by management.

  • Assist technical staff with standard maintenance activities like greasing components or making minor adjustments.

Qualifications

Education & Skills

  • Adequate education enabling basic arithmetic computation alongside documentation skills; equivalent experience or training is acceptable if it provides relevant expertise and abilities desired for this role.

Technical Abilities

  • Proficiency with elementary computer functions is essential.

  • Strong communication skills required both verbally and written.

  • Ability to work independently yet adaptively under supervision settings.

Commitment Flexibility

  • Openness towards working varied shifts including weekends/holidays/overtime as needed.

  • Legal authorization for full-time work within U.S.; minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
