Position Summary
The Project Manager/Engineer in this position will provide effective and efficient support to the field and office management teams and will provide assistance to all tasks including direct responsibility for subcontracts and material procurement, developing and managing project schedules in conjunction with the project team, developing and managing budgets and cost controls, assisting with site safety documentation, and verifying the quality of work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Works with Project Management to develop project cost estimates and interface with clients through design development process.
Develops project working budget and maintains required cost controls.
Issues subcontractor commitments and subcontracts with detailed scope of work.
Works with the project team to develop and maintain current document control logs – submittals, RFI, contract modifications, etc.
Works with project team to develop project procurement schedule and help prioritize submittal and procurement needs consistent with project schedule.
Assists project team in corrective action when schedules are not being met by subcontractors.
Maintains thorough understanding of contract documents including plans, specifications, addendums, prime contract, etc.
Analyzes and resolves field construction issues with input from field construction teams.
Ensure company procedures and standards are followed.
Assist with jobsite safety and compliance with Federal, State, County and other necessary project permits and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the civil construction industry.
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Positive professional attitude, and strong client interaction.
Proficient at the following software systems: MS Project and other MS applications
Strong initiative, communication, problem-solving skills.
The ability to work in a team environment.

Work Environment - Exposure to inclement weather as work occasionally will be performed outside.
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat and steel toe boots will be worn while working at the construction sites.
