Notice of Positions Availability at The Devereux Foundation

 

POSITION:Habilitation Counselors

 

DUTIES:Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team of professionals participating in the completion of skill assessments Develop drafts of Devereux Positive Behavioral Interventions (D-PBIS) Lesson Plans for multi-disciplinary professional team review, approval and implementation. Partake in clinical training of D-PBIS Lesson Plan execution.  Participate in the completion of annual assessments in preparation for goal planning for skill acquisition. Supervise and/or assists individuals in the implementation of program plans designed to improve social, emotional, physical and/or self-help skills. Communicate Lesson Plans to staff and individuals of the program.  Assists in the training of the D-PBIS lesson Plan internally to staff.  Attend clinical meetings and participates in the reporting out of behavior data for the designated program Confer with individuals to discuss their options and goals so that goals and supports can be developed. Discusses progress of individuals, challenges, successes and barriers to treatment plan implementation. Facilitate group conferences with program staff and/or individuals to discuss the programs’ active treatment plans and identifies potential challenges in the program’s environment.  Facilitates and partakes in the monthly communication with families/guardians to discuss individuals and complete documentation as required. May be assigned to other Devereux Foundation locations throughout the United States.

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.

SALARY:  From $40,643 to $50,000 per year.
