Devereux’s National Quality Improvement Department is seeking a Behavioral Health Quality and Risk Manager for our Florida Center. Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Quality Management, this position will manage quality and risk related activities to identify, assess, and monitor regulatory and operational risks within our Florida Center. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all levels of care.
Key Responsibilities will:
- Assess risk and management of potential risk across clinical and operational domains, including client safety, staff safety and legal liability.
- Conduct investigations of adverse events and critical incidents and perform root cause analysis in behavioral health settings.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation.
Qualifications
The successful Quality Improvement Manager candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Behavioral Health, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of management experience in quality and risk, investigations, or compliance within a behavioral health setting.
- Must have experience with data reporting and analytic skills. Experience with Power Apps preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to perform investigation and problem-solving.
- Requires flexibility and an ability to adapt to the demands of rapidly changing priorities. Must demonstrate use of sound judgement and be able to make quick and accurate decisions independently.
