Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a beautiful 24-hour, 10-acre campus located in the heart of Scottsdale. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.
Reporting to the Administrative Support Services Coordinator, the Medical Records Specialist (Part-Time) is responsible for the daily management, oversight, coordination, and standardization of the medical records function for the RTC. This position will also be crossed trained in admissions to cover referral process and the admissions process.
Pay Range: $18/hr - $19.80/hr
Part Time Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm

Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED required
- Two (2) years medical records experience in an office setting required
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer application programs and administrative office practices with progressive responsibility, and familiarity with EMR preferred
- Attention to detail

- Must attend mandatory New Hire Orientation: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm (paid)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
- Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (OR eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
