Seeking Full-Time Assistant School Principal for year round school in Lawrenceville, GA

Starting Salary: $70k/year + Additional Compensation for higher certification levels up to $90k

 

Assistant Principal is responsible for:

Assisting in overseeing general operations of the school; serving as the Testing Coordinator for our school overseeing the testing/assessment process to include FAIR, FCAT, and all other state assessments received from multiple states/districts.

Providing supervision and support to new teachers enrolled in the induction program, representing Devereux at BPS monthly meetings for Secondary Assistant Principals and Elementary Assistant Principals, and providing required data entry/signatures for multiple district/state electronic systems (Brevard AS400, LAUSD Welligent, DCPS, California CAIS, etc.) 

Supporting the alignment of curriculum to Common Core Standards, quality control for teacher documentation (such as treatment team summaries, educational assessments, etc.), and completing the scoring of educational and behavioral assessments required for IEPs and special education eligibility.

Processing IEP-driven 1:1 logs for revenue and School administrator for day school students, supervising issues that arise from that unique population (buses, treatment team, parent notifications, etc).

 

Our Georgia students’ curriculum is aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence. The Assistant Principal would have responsibility and oversight of developing IEPs, 504 Plans and facilitation of meetings. We do not enroll Day Students, all students are enrolled in Devereux residential program.

This program is for adolescents ages 12-17 (census of 24 students), whom have been victimized and are seeking mental health treatment services.

 

DEVEREUX GWINNETT SCHOOL PROGRAM

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must be 21+
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Masters degree in Education required
  • Leadership Certification or working towards certification
  • 3-5 years of experience in an educational setting to include leadership required
  • Must be able to complete a one week new hire orientation class (Monday - Friday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:30 PM each day
