Direct Care Professional (Residential)

Description

Located in Tucson AZ, our Brief Intervention Program (BIP) is a short-term residential facility that provides enhanced residential services to male and female adolescents ages 12-17. Individuals stay up to 30 days in our structured treatment setting which includes 24-hour supervision and therapeutic services. This program is designed for adolescents who are in crisis, requiring active treatment in an environment with a high degree of oversight, intensive programming, and treatment. The BIP features living facilities, education/schooling, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.

 

As a Direct Care Professional (DCP), you will work directly with the children/youth to be seen as a positive role model - dedicated and truly caring about their well-being. DCP’s mentor and have fun with kids doing various year-round enrichment activities, behavior management, and education! You will assist and support the planning, implementation, and documentation of those programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of all individuals.

 

Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.80 hr

Various Schedules - Full Time, Part Time, and On-Call! *Ability to work shifts as late as 10:30pm, as well as weekends (schedules are subject to change)

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Six (6) weeks of behavioral health work experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field OR 12 years of related experience
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders

OTHER:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statues Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.   • Attend mandatory two (2) weeks paid New Hire Orientation training Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
