POSITION TITLE:Clinical and Program Director of Mental Health Services

Salary: Up to $120,000 annually depending on credentials and related experience

Schedule: Hours are Monday through Friday – business hours 9-5. Work duties and hours are based on the needs and operation. Being available off hours due to urgent matters is required.

Location: Homestead, PA

 

Devereux/TCV Community Services is immediately hiring for a Clinical and Program Director for our Mental Health Services Department!

 

Program Overview:

The primary function of the Mental Health Services Departments is to provide a full continuum of mental health treatment and supports for adults, children, adolescents, and their families. This is done in accordance with all regulations, contracts, policies and procedures as well as the Mission and Values of the agency.

 

Position Summary:

The Director ensure clinical quality of services to achieve positive outcomes in a cost efficient, well-coordinated and integrated operation, in full compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage program operations within budget, ensuring efficiency and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation for adult and child mental health services.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff, ensuring alignment with performance and organizational goals.
  • Oversee staff documentation and case reviews to ensure compliance with agency and funding requirements.
  • Address crises, report critical incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Approve timecards, paid time off, and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships. Collaborates with psychiatrists and nurse practitioners; school districts, other providers and payers.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling
  • Five years’ experience in mental health
  • Three years of experience in a supervisory/administrative position.
  • Current PA State License: LCSW, LPC or MFT preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and mental health systems, with a solid understanding of licensing regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise, develop, and hold staff accountable, while managing operations within a regulatory and managed care environment.
  • Proven ability to assess and resolve crises, implement corrective actions, and manage performance to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Skilled in training, and retaining staff, and driving professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the agency to external stakeholders and make decisions aligned with the agency’s Mission and Values.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Pre-employment physical, TB test, drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
  • Ability to pass federal, state, and criminal background checks
