Located in Tucson, AZ, our Respite Program successfully provides an interval of rest for individuals and their primary caregivers without disruption to their home environments. We provide Respite services to individuals from birth to the age of 17, who are experiencing moderate emotional or behavioral difficulties. Through the Respite program, kids get to enjoy group activities and go on field trips to museums, roller skating, movies, arcades, park visits, and more!And, we operate out of residential houses, creating a fun and safe home-like environment for those in our care.

 

The Lead Direct Care Professioanl (Lead DCP)protects the health and safety of individuals while assisting the Program Coordinators with the supervising, planning, and implementation of program activities while managing children’s behaviors. Lead DCP's serve as a mentor and have fun with kids doing various year-round activities! The Lead DCP will assist with planning, implementating, and documentating activities designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals in the Respite Program. This position also serves as a role model, mentor, leader, and/or trainer to the Direct Care Professional staff. 

 

Pay Range: $18 - $19.80 / hr

Various Summer Scheduling Options - Full Time and Part Time

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Two (2) years experience in behavioral health service delivery; or one (1) year Devereux experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred

OTHER:

  • Attend mandatory full time New Hire Orientation Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm for 8 days (paid)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statues Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
