Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC), located in Malvern, PA, provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment. The team is currently seeking a Part-Time, every other weekend (Sat/Sun) Therapist to provide the coordination and delivery of clinical services to include family, group, and individual therapy for assigned individuals.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Provides and/or coordinates the delivery of non-medical therapeutic services to patients in an acute care setting utilizing assessments, and individual, group and family therapy.
- Enter authorizations into Profiler within 24hr of obtaining them and follow up with all appeals
- Serves as the voice of treatment with all formal and informal communication with the team
- Coordinates discharge planning and assigned liaison activities between families, agencies, and the treatment team to insure the highest standard of participation and the best practice of service delivery
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline. Licensure eligible accepted.
EXPERIENCE: Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, particularly in an acute care setting, preferred. Experience in evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, functional assessment and behavioral interventions are preferred.
