Supply Teacher

Description

The Supply Teacher will act in an as-needed capacity, responsible for the education process for clients at all levels. This includes following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), assessing academic levels, preparing materials and lesson plans, and supervising activities outside the classroom.

 

Please Note: This is a temporary position from now until June 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow IEPs and assess students' academic levels.
  • Prepare lesson plans and daily schoolwork.
  • Monitor and supervise students during school-related activities.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate positive leadership.
  • Maintain a respectful and team-focused environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Deliver services that promote growth and independence.
  • Uphold ethical standards and the organization's mission.

Professional Skills:

  • Plan and develop classroom curriculum.
  • Instruct clients in social and educational skills.
  • Evaluate clients' proficiency and progress.
  • Establish a conducive classroom environment.
  • Assist in preparing IEPs and ensure they meet standards.
  • Counsel clients on behavioral and academic issues.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Manage classroom equipment and materials.

Qualifications
