Devereux’s Foster Care Programs provide therapeutic, family‑based care for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, emotional or behavioral challenges, or instability in their home environments. These programs partner with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and local lead agencies to recruit, train, and support therapeutic foster parents who can meet the complex needs of youth requiring more than traditional foster care. Foster families receive ongoing specialized training, clinical consultation, and behavioral support tools so they can implement strategies that promote safety, stability, and positive behavioral change. Clinicians work closely with children, caregivers, and support systems to create individualized treatment plans, provide counseling, and build life and coping skills.

 

Based out of Sarasota, FL this position is responsible for providing general administrative, office and clerical support to assigned program and program staff.  The individual in this role will be required to perform various administrative tasks including computer data entry and reporting, answering phones and greeting visitors, copy, faxing and filing; in addition to other general office and clerical duties as needed.

 

Position Details:

Salary:  Starts at $17.25 - 20.21 / hr(rate is based on education and relevant experience).

Schedule: Full time;  Monday-Friday 8-4

Location: In-office (Sarasota, FL)

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred
  • 1+ year experience in administrative/clerical setting with strong computer skills strongly preferred
  • High level organizational and communication skills strongly preferred
  • Must be adept in Office 365 applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Calendar, Teams, Forms, OneNote and OneDrive) required.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen
