Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has the capacity to serve 52 children. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.

 

We are interviewing for the following positions: 

 

Direct Care Professionals(DCP) provide direct supervision and assist the day-to-day schedule for campus individuals. Direct support duties include: helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, and fostering social skills. Other duties include documenting progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs, adhering to the activity schedule, and attending weekly clinical supervision meetings. Direct care staff also assist with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!

 

Lead Direct Care Professionals (Lead DCP) are responsible for the health and safety of campus individuals, as well as assisting Program Managers with the supervising, planning, and implementation of day-to-day program activities. Direct support duties: helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, fostering social skills, and supporting direct care staff. Other duties include being an active member of the treatment team, assisting with managing behaviors in accordance with the individualized treatment plans, and facilitating programming that promotes treatment goals and developmental skills. Lead DCP's serve as a role model, mentor, leader, and trainer to Direct Care Professionals. Lead staff also assist with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!

  • Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00/hr. based on relevant experience and education
  • Shift Differentials: $1/hr. 3:00pm - 11:00pm and $2/hr. 11:00pm - 7:00am, 7 days/wk.
  • Various Full Time Scheduling Options; ability to work afternoons/nights and weekends needed

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred
  • Direct Care Professional: Six (6) weeks of behavioral health work experience required
  • Lead Direct Care Professional: Supervisory experience preferred, One (1) year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery or Six (6) months Devereux experience

Other:

  • Required to attend 2 weeks of new hire orientation (paid) Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm; plus an additional 2-3 weeks of on-the-job training
  • Valid unrestricted Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check 
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24 hours of offer w/ negative results
