The pay for this position starts at $80,620.80/year, with additional compensation added for higher education, licensure, and/or years of relevant experience up to $91.907.71/year. 

This position is located in Fitchburg, MA.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Based in Fitchburg, MA, our CARES School is a therapeutic day school that serves individuals age 6 through 21 who carry diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability.

As the Principal, you will:

• Under the supervision of the Education Director assure the successful implementation of MA Curriculum Frameworks and instructional strategies for a diverse student population.
• Serve as Individual Education Plan (IEP) coordinator and ensures DESE regulation compliance.
• Develop and refine a broad continuum of educational and vocational programs.
• Provide supervision, support and direction to teachers and aides to assure provision of effective differentiated instruction, curriculum-based assessments and data collection to monitor student progress.
• Implement school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support programs.
• Provide training and support to teachers related to their effective supervision of instructional support staff.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Drivers License
• Master’s Degree in Education or related field required.
• DESE licensed as Principal or Administrator of Special Education is required
• Minimum of three years of experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.

Schedule:

Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation in Rutland, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM
