Devereux provides programs and services for children and adolescents who face significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Located in Hampton, GA, this position is responsible for various duties to include:

  • Develops laundry operational reports, writes laundry product specifications and prepares requisitions  
  • Supervises clients and staff on proper operation of laundry equipment  
  • Prepares laundry formulas and compounds  
  • Record keeping, inventory control, work scheduling, and safety, health and infection-control 
  • Schedules machine maintenance, inventories supplies and linen, and processes laundry 
  • Clean and sanitize client’s bedrooms, clean and maintain living areas, classrooms, office areas, hallways and all adjacent areas including bathrooms and shower facilities. 
  • Ability to vacuum carpets, wash walls and windows, empty trash and deposit in receptacles, clean desks and other classroom areas. 
  • Soliciting assistance for major crisis intervention situations in assigned living units. 
  • Operate buffing machines, carpet shampoo equipment and all commercial cleaning machines. 
  • Monitoring supplies needed for cleaning and maintenance 
  • Reports to supervisor needed repairs/maintenance in work areas. 
  • Available to the supervisor for any task necessary during normal hours 
  • Other: Performs all other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma, trade school or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year commercial and/or residential housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge of floor care and floor care cleaning equipment is essential. 

Schedule:

  • Must be able to complete a two-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00 am to 5:30 pm each day. Orientations are at our Kennesaw campus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background check results.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
