Your impact and responsibilities:

Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting opportunity for a driven Accounting Intern who is seeking an opportunity to accelerate their career within a global company, and gain valuable professional experience as you start your career. This is a 12 month position, requiring full time hours to fulfill the requirements of the role. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, this role is within the Finance and Controlling team, and will see you assisting with Accounts Payable and Receivable, supporting month-end closing activities, coordinating procurement processes, and developing strong collaboration with our Shared Service Centre to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Reporting into the Taxation and Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist Accounts Payable & Receivable functions, including invoice processing and customer/vendor management
• Collaborate with the Shared Service Centre overseas and respond to business unit queries
• Monitor and action the finance team inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Support procurement processes, ensuring alignment with internal policies

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, post graduate or currently still studying with the capacity to commit to full time hours. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings a proactive, “can-do” attitude. A desire to learn hands on Accounting practices and gain valuable insights into our Financial Services business is also essential, as are possessing well-developed communication skills and a customer service orientation in everything you do. A degree in Accounting or Business is required, along with good Excel skills; SAP ERP experience is a plus.
