The role:
This role will develop strong relationships through exceptional customer support and engagement in order to optimise the sales and growth of the Freightliner and All-Makes parts business.
Reporting to the Vice President, Aftersales and Network Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
-Lead Product Management and Sales, focusing on developing and managing the parts product portfolio, including the achievement of the parts sales targets
-Develop, manage and grow the sales of Freightliner and All-Makes parts through the Daimler Truck Parts Portal
-Actively engage with senior management from the dealer network in understanding product requirements
-Liaise with DTNA and all external vendors to ensure arrival of parts at the NPDC and/or dealer network in a timely manner
-Maintain and control an up to date technical parts database and information for the complete range of DTNA (Daimler Trucks North America) approved products
-Manage Mission Critical Parts basket in line with market intelligence, ensuring parts availability at NPDC and dealer network at all times to support the ever increasing market demand
-Focus on continuous improvement initiatives, aimed at increasing sales, reducing costs and improving processes
-Assist in the development of objectives, strategies and plans aimed at increasing efficiency, eliminating manual processes to improve customer satisfaction
-Manage and provide reporting to management on all Key Account activities
-Maintain quality, and effective Key Account Management and Communication in order to ensure ongoing business partnerships
Qualifications
About You:
The successful individual will possess strong and effective communication skills complemented by the ability to negotiate and problem-solve. A thorough working knowledge of the automotive industry, more specifically with a focus on parts is essential. In-depth knowledge of Freightliner parts will be a distinct advantage. Your analytical capabilities along with excellent customer orientation and attention to detail will be essential in this role. Experience and knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle industry, a thorough understanding parts inventory systems and some experience with planning and strategy will be ideal.
