Objective of the position: - Lead and coordinate containment and corrective actions with suppliers for all non-conforming material reported through QFLs and material receiving inspections where supplier responsibility is identified. - Manage the end-to-end resolution process to ensure defective components are isolated and permanent solutions are implemented. Operational Strategy & Execution (SQDCME): - Coordinate and plan daily activities, tasks, and deliverables related to the SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment) metrics, ensuring full alignment with the plant’s strategy and core purpose. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed operational KPIs. - Lead and develop the work team, ranging from frontline operators to Quality Champions. - Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and professional growth opportunities. - Ensure seamless communication with various operational and support departments to contain and resolve issues promptly. - Maintain a constant production flow and secure unit sales by minimizing disruptions caused by quality failures. - Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers to ensure accurate communication and rigorous follow-up on quality problem-solving processes. Main Functions: - Assure all components of the truck accomplish required quality through revision in the production process and, if necessary, since materials storage. - Properly manage the needs of the assigned team by ensuring the provision of the correct equipment and tools while effectively coordinating team vacations and absences in a timely and professional manner. - Develop and execute a daily strategic work plan to ensure all departmental objectives and targets are consistently met. - Provide daily feedback to suppliers contributing to quality issues in our trucks, ensuring the implementation of robust corrective actions. - Develop a work plan to address the top repetitive issues contributing to total DPU and SPU generated and daily recovery of units in vendor buckets at offline.
