Tasks

• Sourcing, Pricing, Supplier Risk Management and Mitigation Strategies for all potential risks.
• Material Cost Control and Continuous improvement on material costs technically and strategically for ensuring the highest contribution to the company.
• Mid-Term and Long-Term Sourcing and Commodity Strategies.
• Raw Material Management and Techno-Commercially Competitive Sourcing Strategies.
• Ensure 100% Compliance of Processes and Systems
• New components sourcing & Resourcing
• Serial life cost reductions
• Define and Implement Commodity and Sourcing Strategies including the Alignment with TT/G and Cross Functional Stakeholders.
• Elaborate Local Sourcing Strategies for all relevant commodities considering specific regional Macroeconomic conditions.
• Setting and Execution of Annual Material Cost Reduction targets achievement. Establish the negotiation Strategies and keep up the long-term cost efficiency by generating more cost optimization ideas by involving all internal & external stakeholders (team, CFT, Suppliers, etc.,)
• “Win-Win” Should Cost Models and achievement for the respective sourcing
• Techno-commercially Competitive Sourcing for all New Products Projects (NPP) and Series Sourcing Optimization Cases (Resourcing, Multi-Sourcing, Best Cost Country Sourcing, Aftersales Parts, Change Management and Other Risk Mitigation Cases).
• Utilize Daimler Global TT/G Procurement network and find opportunities of global sourcing.
• Raw Material Planning, negotiation and competitive buying strategies & implementation.
• Supplier Risk Management and appropriate Mitigation Strategies for long-term business resilience by meeting QCD targets.
• Financial Supplier Risk Management: Robust Fall-back strategies for financially distressed suppliers to protect short-term and long-term business goals.
• Robust Contract Managements for the respective 100% Supply Base to protect the mid-term and long-term business interests (Long Term Agreements, Supply Agreements, Framework Agreements, Development Agreements, Raw Material & FX Settlement Methodology, Volume Clauses, Warranty, Product Liability, Cyber Security & ESG Sustainability Agreements, etc.,).
• Lead Cross-Functional Supplier Evaluation Visits.
• Cooperate with internal departments and interface with suppliers for negotiation, alignment, and resolution of issues.
• Implement adequate reporting and controlling standards and present target achievement /progress to various top management forums.

Qualifications

Minimum - BE/BTec Mech / Production / Automobile

~10 Years of Experience in Direct Parts Sourcing and Contracting

Good Commercial acumen and Product and Process Knowledge required

Sourcing Commodities expertise required - Stamping (Axles Housing, Brackets, Multi Thickness Washers) and Big Forgings ( Knuckles , Beams , Crankshafts, Gears , Shafts etc )
